I want to be a Calendar Gril!!

Mom and I entered the Bad Rap "My Dog is Family" Photo Calendar Contest. It's a cool contest because the top 13 winners are featured in their 2010 Calendar!

To Vote you have to donate a dollar per vote, but the money is being raised to help other pups in need so that Bad Rap can continue to do their good work. So if you'd like to help other pups and help me be a calendar girl go see my contest entry!

I also have another award that was created for me by Purplehatter. It's appropriately titled 'Climbing to the Top Award,' so maybe I'll climb to the top of the competition for the calendar!!
Although in this picture I'd say I'm not climbing so much as taking a nap, but there are stairs which I do climb a lot!!

So I'd like to pass this award on to other 'top dogs' so they can have a fun award. There aren't any other rules that go with this other than to say pass along to top dog who deserve an award!

Sharing the Love

Something fabulous happened this weekend and I'm excited to share it with you. Some of ya'll might have already seen that the PurpleHater made me my very own award. How cool is that?
Isn't it pretty?! He's on a roll lately with making fun awards for other doggies too, but this one is my very own!! And I get to share it with who ever I want. First I have to make rules to go with it.

So the rules for this award are:

• Put the award on your blog and link to who gave it to you.
• Give a nod to Purple Hatter who made the award
• Share a picture or story of how you 'Showed Some Love' lately

Honest Scrap

I was tagged by my cute friend Sugar with the Honest Scrap Award and to play the game that goes along with it.

I'm supposed to list 10 things you might not know about me. This might be a little hard...but here I go:

1. Mom says I snore sometimes, although I'm not sure this is entirely true as I've never heard me snore!

2. I have a bed in every room of the house. Mom and I live in a 2 bedroom condo, so there is a bed in her bedroom, the study/guestroom that I stay in during the days when she's at work, and that cool couch looking bed in the living/dining/kitchen area.

3. When I'm invited onto the human couch I crawl up very slowly one paw at a time. Mom says I look like a little old lady dog and not a big strong pit bull when I do that. She doesn't realize I'm just trying to be a lady and the Princess that I am.

4. When I stay with my Grandparents Grandma lets me in bed with her, but Grandpa doesn't. So I get an hour or two of sleep with her before he comes to bed.

5. I LOVE butt skitches...mom still needs to take a video of that.

6. I love all humans, but sometimes need slow introductions with new doggies. But the doggy friends I have I LOVE so much!

7. I have lots of nicknames: Pretty Pretty Princess, Pittieboo, Pitiful Pittie (when I do my pathetic face)

8. I'm not the first pit bull that's been part of my mom's family. When she was a little girl they had another pretty one called Febbie that my grandma got when she was pregnant with my Aunt(my mom's older sister). We are GREAT with children, and used to be called Nanny Dogs.

9. I have one blue eye and one brown eye, but the upper most part of my brown eye is blue as well, but you can hardly see it.

10. I know these human words: Walk, Treat, Sit, Stay, Lay, Shake, High-Five, Drop, Ball, Toy, Leave It, No, Car Ride, Bike Ride, Heel, Run, Tace, Roscoe. I think that's all of them...

And here's the cute picture of me for the day!!Oops!! I forgot to post who I'm giving it to. I don't know who all has received this one, but if you haven't PLEASE PLEASE take it, as it's lots of fun learning new things about my friends!

Sugar Filled Day!

Sugar (a super special & pretty bully) and her mom posted a challenge for Sugar-Riffic Photo Contest and I thought I'd post a couple pictures of me; they aren't nearly as good as Sugar, but mom and I think they are pretty funny.

Here's the challenge:

For every ones viewing pleasure, I've included some additional photos of places I've found Sugar to inspire everyone to get creative for our own Sugar-Riffic photo contest! Post a picture of your pet in a compromising location on your blog by July 1, send me a link to your post and we will pick some winners!!!

So from our camping trip last year are some pictures of me exploring the dash of the RV and sunbathing up there, although mom said I shouldn't be there it was a lot of fun.
I also really enjoyed laying out on the picnic table, mom kept saying something about people needing to eat from there, but it just found it too comfy to leave!Next, Dozer passed along the Sugar's Sweetest Blog Award to me which also was created by Sugar and her Momma...so lots of sugar today!
I think I'm supposed to post three sweet blogs so here they are:
-Paws and Pasteries...there are some cute dogs and some YUMMY looking treats too!
-Sprite the Odd Dog, because her last post was some yummy looking food thing!
-The Brown Dog Blog, because they think brocoli is yummy, but I think they are silly!

Mmm...I'm hungry now, I'm going to go see if I can find me some food or get mom to give me a treat!

Award Season!

I can come out now the storm is mostly over, just a little rain today which I think I can handle. Some good did come out of the storm though...I got my first blog awards!! Two of them in the same day! They were from Dozer and Mina & Celeste, thank y'all! I wish I could give them straight back, but I don't think that's in the rules.

The first award I got was the Fan award from my pal Dozer which will come in really handy in Texas this summer, and as Dozer pointed out it's cordless so I can take anywhere. Also it's pink!! Thanks for being a fan, I'm a fan of yours too!!
